The faces of two people who love to go fishing late at night, downtown, in an area where if you caught one you would never consider eating it, did I say late at night?.

Ah, heck, we just love being together, anywhere.

This is the face of one woman who hates fishing but loves to be with her family, late at night, fishing in a place where if you caught one, blah, blah, blah, and one woman we have no idea who she is. Is that a purse or a tackle box?

This is a face of someone who fishes for social reasons only. I can read her mind. She is thinking, |"Which end goes in the water?"

That is the face of someone who would fish rather than do anything else. I'm not kidding. He would probably even eat one of those fish.

This is the face of me. I don't know yet if I love fishing like everyone else, however, I do know this. I just love these guys. Fishing, bowling, camping, swimming, whatever, I just love these guys. This might be my best day ever!

We took a trip to Utah to visit the Moreaus. Every night we (the kids lead by Stacie and Brianna) dressed up and put on short little plays.... this was one of them:)

We did a chest bump when we saw each other! then we dressed up like fat people from the south.

We are BEASTS!

We sang "She'll be Coming 'round the Mountian". Dang we were good.

I did Kathren's hair for church... she hated it.

The Oquirrh (pronounced oaker) temple. We went there for the open house before it was dedicated. Angel Moroni was struck by lightning the day before we went leaving part of him black. If you look carefully at the picture and squint your eyes you

still can't see it.

Dont let this fool you, I could never pass off as a hunter. I didn't even shoot the fake gun right. The deer are safe around me not matter what kind of gun I carry.

We went to Cabelas and bought the most randomist thing... a toilet seat that snaps on top of a 5 gallon bucket. Sweeeeeet!

Timpanogos cave adventure

I know these are out of order. I tried. We recently drove 12 hours to visit the Moreaus in Utah and had the opportunity to hike to Timpanogos Cave and walk through the 3/4 mile cavern.

Here what the inside of the cave looked like, at least this part. This his was called the heart of the cave.

Next to some rock that stood like a pillar.

Ok, now that you saw how our steep up hill hike payed off ... here is how we got there. (like I said... everything is out of order) Imagine us moving forward.

Up, up, up!

We made it!

Once we made it to the caves, we treated ourselves to lollipops.

Then we walked down, down, down.

I carried a sleeping but tough three year old. Just before this he told his mom, " My legs are all wobbly."

Once we made it down, we rested! We were EXHAUSTED, EXHAUSTED, EXHAUSTED!

The kids took a Jr. Ranger oath as they completed their assignments and earned their badges.

It was a cool hike, but we were glad, glad, glad when it was over!

What a head! There were no coneheads in this room. Korbin Dane Schimpf was born yesterday, April 20, 2009 at about 7:40 PM. Check out that dimple. Question: Is that a smile or just gas?

He was fully baked at 8lbs 3 oz and 20 inches

Kamden really liked him. That's no pasted on smile. It was very touching to see how gentle and careful he was with Korbin. Let's see how long that will last.

Who looks that good after giving birth? What a beautiful mom. Dad on the other hand looks like a train wreck...but a happy train wreck.

Together is a great place to be.

We took Stacie, Kamden, and Martje (our exchange student from Germany) to the Cove on Monday. It was a beautiful day.

We were hoping for a big splash against the rocks. It never happened. (Dang it!)

I'm thinking, no. Everything went as planned. No one could have anticipated more perfect results.

The conditions under which Stacie would allow us to put up one of her baby photos were strict. Crying, nudity, and birth were out. Sleeping seemed to be okay. (She was this cute in all of them.)
Lillian was less concerned. Nudity was just fine with her. Stacie sure has her good looks. (Thank goodness!)
Surprise, surprise, she's not eating refried beans and cheese.

The very dangerous cement wall that stopped you at the bottom. One lady and her daughter smashed into it... she dislocated her shoulder, and her 3 year old daughter smacked her head and her boots went flying off...lucky for her she was wearing a helmet. The girls won this race - and ALL the others. (They must have cheated.)

Kamden is ready and excited for Christmas. You can guess who our inspiration was this year.

Randy and Stacie took 20 Planes and 20 Hot Wheels and hot glued ribbons to them to make cool homemade ornaments. They placed our train set under the tree.

What a treat! Kamden and Joshua absolutely love it and they can't wait until after Christmas because they get to play with all the cars and planes.

Stacie is awesome at Christmas decorating. There she is on the roof putting up the lights for Randy who is still recovering from rotator cuff reconstruction. Go Stacie!

A Day to remember...

Congrats to Kevin and the Grossmont Waterpolo team for taking 3rd place in the Souther Cal Championships on Friday and Saturday. They are seeded 4th in the California State Tournament this coming weekend in Merced. Good luck!

Randy and Lillian missed the big game because of the Yorba Linda fire. We were crawling towards the fire when they closed the 91 freeway down about 30 cars ahead of us because the fire jumped the freeway.
We were at a complete stop for over an hour. (We called it a hot date) The firefighters had a tough job with the wind blowing so fast. We are thankful for our firefighters! GO GROSSMONT!

Steven was VERY, VERY excited to leave the MTC today. He lost 6 pounds on the MTC diet.
